Welcome to Rambling House
Let’s get folk talking – and recording
The Covid-19 pandemic had us revamp the notion that a rambling house needs to be in a certain house which had previously housed such events. Why not have a rambling house in your own kitchen with the kids playing a central role and via Zoom having grandparents join in and showing everyone how storytelling is really done?
Visit our sister site www.ramblinghouse.ie to see how we encourage you to prepare your own rambling house evening in the kitchen, what to do if you wish to record your grandparents and a host of rich content to look through and show for the techie part of the evening.
The idea is to encourage children to become confident storytellers and to help us become a nation of story collectors. By recording grandparents, you have an heirloom like no other after their time and one to truly savour and perhaps share with the community if it helps preserve the locality’s lore.
Rambling House was also the name of our radio series on Inishowen Community Radio station, more of which can be found on our Radio Production page.
