iPhone or Android
If you have an iPhone or an Android device, simply go to either the App Store or Android Market and download – all guides are automatically installed for you. Please note that on initial download, no tours may appear to be on your phone – the tours are still downloading and will appear within about 30 seconds, assuming you are in a Wi-Fi zone.

Garmin or TomTom
Downloading a racontour tour on your Garmin or TomTom sat nav device is just a series of clicks, but here’s a quick guide of what to expect to see along the way.

Assuming you’ve read the Licensing section, you are hopefully ready to download one, or all eight of the guides. Ensure you have connected your GPS device to your computer with a USB cable. Once done, you’re ready to go!

1. DOWNLOAD
Click on the dropdown ‘Download’ menu at the top right hand side of the tour you’d like to buy. From there select the particular device you have. We’ll be using Garmin for the purposes of this demonstration.

2. SELECT DOWNLOAD TYPE
At the top of the screen you’ll be told that you have two weeks with which to download the tour from the time you clicked to get it. Don’t leave it too late! You’ll then need to click on the device you’ll be downloading it on to.

As a once off action, you’ll need to download some free software from the respective manufacturers depending on which sort of device you have. Click here to get the appropriate software.

DOWNLOAD AS GARMIN TOURGUIDE (for example)
You’ll be given four methods to download the information. The easiest is Method One being a one step transfer.

Assuming you have the device connected via USB cable to your computer and it is recognised on the screen, you just need to press ‘Transfer’ to get the data.

EMAIL FROM GEOTOUR
You’ll get an email from our technical partner, GeoTour powered by Geovative Solutions. In the event that you don’t complete the downloading of the tour above, they give instructions of how to complete the process in five easy steps.

In the event that you do opt to download later as per above, you’ll be asked to log in with your email address. You may also get a code, which you should write down. Follow the instructions, connecting your device to your computer and you’ll have the download completed in no time. An audio tour has a lot more data to transfer but the screen should be telling you when the transfer is nearing completion.

Geovative do offer support if you are having difficulty having the tour transferred. Go to http://www.geovative.com/support/ for further details.

Enjoy your tour!
